NLG among the first LSPs to receive the new Across Certificate

February 7, 2014  |  NLG News

The Across Language Server is playing an ever increasing role amongst global companies who want to manage their translations in-house. NLG has been using Across for several years now and sees an increasing demand for demonstration of up-to-date user knowledge of Across, both in theory and in practice. Therefore it seemed only logical to us that NLG should be one of the first Language Service Providers who decided to pursue the newly created, person and version-specific Across Certificate.

“As a tool agnostic Language Service Provider it is very important for us, of course, to be able to offer our clients expert knowledge regarding all the common CAT tools, including the Across Language Server. Participation of our employees in the training was evaluated very positively. We are sure that the training content has rounded off our already extensive knowledge around the Across Language Server.”, says Michael Oettli, managing director of NLG.

Initially, two employees from NLG’s Production Team underwent the version specific training. The new approach to being Across certified is person and version-specific rather than location-specific. Therefore this training will be an ongoing activity and with each new update NLG will make sure that our certified colleagues receive the appropriate training.
